In recent developments, Israel finds itself in a state of war following a shocking assault by Hamas terrorists from Palestine. This devastating attack has claimed hundreds of lives, left thousands injured, and instilled terror in the hearts of countless individuals.

Hamas, an Iran-backed extremist group that controls the Gaza Strip, was established in 1987 during the first Palestinian uprising. It’s important to note that the United States rightfully classifies Hamas as a terrorist organization.

On a fateful Saturday morning, over a thousand Hamas terrorists launched a multifaceted attack against Israel, using land, sea, and air forces. Thousands of rockets rained down upon Israel, and Hamas militants breached Israel’s southern border, seizing control of several villages and border towns.

Tragically, a music festival near the Gaza Strip became one of their targets, resulting in the loss of hundreds of innocent lives and horrifying acts of violence against women. Hamas went as far as committing indiscriminate murders of unarmed civilians and even parading the body of a half-naked woman online, a truly despicable act.

This senseless violence has already claimed the lives of over 700 Israelis, with 250 of those casualties occurring at the aforementioned music festival. Regrettably, four American citizens in Israel also lost their lives, and many more are still unaccounted for.

In response to this unprovoked aggression, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war against Hamas, vowing to avenge the losses suffered by the Israeli people. He delivered a powerful message, stating, “What happened today has never been seen in Israel, we will take mighty vengeance for this black day… Residents of Gaza: Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere.”

The Israel Defense Forces have been actively targeting more than 500 Hamas sites in Gaza, reportedly neutralizing over 400 militants. Disturbingly, it has been revealed that Iran played a significant role in planning this attack over the past six months and ultimately gave the green light for its execution last week, as reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Critics argue that last month’s decision by President Joe Biden to release $6 billion to Iran in a prisoner swap has indirectly contributed to funding such attacks by Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism. This move was forewarned by former President Donald Trump, who cautioned against enabling a regime known for its support of global terrorism.

Amidst these troubling events, questions arise regarding the apparent failure of intelligence agencies, including the CIA and Mossad, to detect an attack brewing for six months. Some speculate whether there were ulterior motives in play, such as provoking a Middle East conflict that could draw the United States into direct confrontation with Iran.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw has expressed concern that this conflict may escalate further, tweeting, “This looks like it will be the war to end all wars… They need to be defeated.”
