As a conservative mom, I have closely followed the ongoing debate surrounding COVID-19 and the various measures put in place to combat it. When there are inconsistencies or changing narratives, it erodes trust in our institutions and experts, which is something we cannot afford during a public health crisis.

The fact that a CNN host, who is typically aligned with a more liberal perspective, was willing to question Dr. Fauci demonstrates the importance of transparency and accountability, regardless of one’s political leanings. We should encourage such critical questioning in our media because it helps ensure that our public servants are held to the highest standards.

While we may not all agree on every aspect of the COVID-19 response, it is heartening to see that we can come together to question and scrutinize those in positions of power.
