We’re told that we’re securing a better future for them, but can we genuinely guarantee their safety and privacy when policies don’t ensure separate spaces for girls and boys? Shouldn’t our daughters have a level playing field in sports, a domain intended for women to excel and showcase their skills? And why should scholarships meant for women be awarded to those who don’t even identify as women biologically?
It’s disheartening. A mere display of lip service isn’t what women truly deserve. Our daughters, the upcoming generation of strong and empowered women, unquestionably deserve better than this. They merit policies that uphold their unique experiences and safeguard the opportunities they’ve rightfully earned. They deserve to have their identity as women respected, rather than having confusion sowed by the erosion of fundamental definitions.
As mothers, it’s incumbent upon us to rise up and champion authentic women’s empowerment. Let’s shine a light on these inconsistencies and insist that our leaders rise to a higher standard. Let’s strive for a future where our daughters can flourish in an environment that values their rights, their privacy, and their identity as women.
